Mixson Mingle Jingle

Happy Friday the 13th! I’m fast and furiously working on getting some new bags ready for tomorrow’s Mixson Mingle Jingle. I hope the weather holds out.

UPDATE: Due to the impending rain, the event has been moved into the Club Room at Basico and MB&RC. 4399 McCarthy Street at Mixson.

Have a safe and fabulous weekend!

Etsy + Whole Foods Market: Ingredients for Creativity

I was recently contacted about participating in the Etsy + Whole Foods Market: Ingredients for Creativity event this holiday season. I jumped on board and I’m very excited to be working on some of the store decorations as well has teaching three DIY tutorials. The first class (napkin rings) will be on next Tuesday. The other sessions are scheduled for December 9th & 11th, and I’ll share more details for those soon!

I’m honored to share this opportunity with the incredibly talented Kristen Solecki. Her first DIY class is today. She’s teaching a few more classes so be sure to check her Facebook page for her next dates.

For more information on this collaboration, please visit the Whole Foods and Etsy websites.

I’d also like to shout out a very hearty Thank You! to Allison, of SpaceCraft Studios, for recommending me!

Charleston Farmers Market

{ The 2012 CFM poster artist is fellow CFM vendor Amanda McLenon. }

The 2012 season of the Charleston Farmers Market opened on Saturday. I don’t think we could have asked for a more beautiful day in terms of weather and turnout. We had a blast. Last year was kind of like the first day of high school, only at a school in a new district. Not only were we part of the freshman class but we didn’t know anyone. This year felt like we were returning sophomores, with the day far more relaxed and I think possibly more exciting than last year. That didn’t change that we barely got any sleep the night before and we were so fired up as we were leaving I thought I was going to spend a few hours in the garden… until we started driving home and the exhaustion hit. We totally crashed when we got home.

Michael made some fabulous new stands and while we only used one on Saturday, they’re going to work perfectly for my pillows and bags.

Needless to say, I am so excited and so thankful to be participating again this year!

More Magnolia

And as promised, here are a few more photos from Magnolia! Next to Rosalie, my other favorite is the pyramid mausoleum. I keep forgetting to update my memory banks on the family who is resting here, so sadly I can’t provide any more information.
